Is the Pain arc the most intense part of Naruto?

Yes it was intense for me. I was so much excited as I was looking forward for tsunade vs pain. Unfortunately it didnt happen. Despite it, We got to see the true power of pain and destroying the whole village with just a push.

It was indeed. Pein was the most powerful villain in the manga back then and his arrival created a sense of panic in the village. Then he kills Kakashi's and other ninjas, destroys the village and almost managed to capture Naruto.
