Hear me out first. I just wanted to point out some interesting things:
When Boruto first saw the Otsutsuki, like us, he thought it was Momoshiki. Because well, they look exactly alike.
However, is that really the case? There are some notable differences, albeit very very minor.
The lingering theory, on Momoshiki's part is that he's interacting with the human world after being killed, like how most Otsutsuki can interact with the living post-death (Hagoromo, and Hamura in example). But I'm here to test this theory for the cause based on subtle references the author brought up in the chapter.
Which may prove that this Otsutsuki is not Momoshiki, but someone else.
First things first. We have to talk about the biggest gap between our Momoshiki, and the one Boruto talked to.
"Speech pattern."
Momoshiki referred to humans as inferior creatures:
However, this version of Momoshiki ... refers to humans different. In retrospect, Boruto.
Inferior creatures (humans) to calling Boruto, 'O, Son of Man' -- That seems like a giant leap, no?
Lastly, the biggest and most important fact about this, deals with what Momoshiki told Boruto about 'fate'.
I want you to look very carefully at what Momoshiki tells Boruto about his own fate (as in the Otsutuski's fate, not Boruto's).
He says, "Even with the power I possess, I am unable to foresee my own fate"
But he talks in the sense that, currently as in now ... he's unable to see his own fate? In what context does this make sense if Momoshiki is already dead, and that this is only his spirit lingering on? In fact, wouldn't Momoshiki say something like: "I wasn't able to see my own fate" -- In regards to them defeating him.
Anyway here is something for you to think about. Tell me your thoughts, or if you caught anything else that I didn't.
