I'm most likely getting a phone this weekend if not then prob. the next. I was interested in the Nexus 4 but then I heard the Nexus 5 will be coming out? Does anyone know when it comes out? I heard something about a price cut about either the Nexus 4 or 5, if someone cares to clarify this. For people who own the Nexus 4, how is it? I heard it's quite fragile compared to the latest phones in the market.

Nexus 4 is only $200 with a faster processor than a iPhone 5 and a way higher resolution screen. The nexus 4 is still a bad ass phone.

Yeah, it is. Compare to the price it is the best deal you can get. it has quad core processor, 2gb ram and 320 ppi display. Most importantly, you will get very smooth user interface with stock android and you can install and use any software or games without any lag. Cent percent satisfaction guaranteed.

IMO: I think you should get a better, carrier supported phone.

The Galaxy S4 and the HTC One would be the best phones for you because, unlike nexus devices, they can use a carrier's LTE and higher data plans. Nexus devices are sold not on a contract and not by a carrier, so you don't have any support from any company unless you manage to find a Google forum that addresses your issue.

The Nexus 4 is a great device, but I think you should opt for a carrier-branded Android super-phone to get the faster data speeds and support.

I have no idea about phones but pretty much I'm going to buy the phone and not get a contract.

Okay, that's understandable, but if you buy a phone off-contract then you have to pay the full price of the phone which is normally over $600 unless you find a deal on Craigslist or Ebay.

Also, if you get it unlocked, you can only use the phone on carriers that have SIM cards such as AT&T and T-Mobile.
