Not necessarily Kurama's, don't forget that it's all the nine Bijuu's combined, plus Kurama is a fox, but the Juubi resembles a human form from its looks.

From the wiki page, it sounds like its a myth more based on Chinese culture rather than Japanese culture, and I'm pretty sure Kishi primarily uses Japanese myths for his story. But this is a very good find, well done. However, if the Juubi ended up being a rabbit, I'd be very disappointed because it would take a lot of his badass nature away .

That's a good theory, very astute. In much the same way that Kurama doesn't exactly look like a fox, the Juubi likely will not appear exactly as a (ten-tailed) rabbit.
