well, he started a rebellion against a tyrant for the betterment of his people, he lost that rebellion and he and the angels that rebelled was turned in to demons and cast in hell...

as a person without bias (not a christian) reading the bible it's quite clear if you ask me that Lucifer is the good guy in the story, well maybe not good, but clearly more moral than the god in it.

Since animes and cartoons brainwashed me in my childhood yes he's good because in all those anime/carton/movies the "good" people challenges "the gods".
