Detecting an attack =/= being able to counter it
Just cause they can see the attacks coming doesn't mean the hyuga can match the strength/chakra of a SM user.

Plus, pain proved being able to see the whole battlefield won't stop SM

Byakugan don't have the ability to destroy chakra. Gentle fist does. Byakugan doesn't grant that just the ability to see chakra points and some other fodder insight abilities.

Byakugan is the result of bloodline limit, by having byakugan from birth mean user can also unlock their potential to do gentle fist that only byakugan user can do (not counting god tier).

Ps. that fodder insight allow you to pin point the Vital points :lol
