[Discussion] Is the 2016 Election the same as Animal Farm?

If you've read Animal Farm in high school, college, or wherever tf you felt like reading it, you know that Squealer was able to manipulate many of the mindless animals on the farm who didn't really know how to make decisions. And then there was Napoleon who became a dictator on the farm. Do you think Trump is the equivalent of Squealer/Napoleon and his supporters are those animals?

I can see Donald Trumps becoming a watered down Stalin-type character....like Snowball.

Or is Snowball Tsotsky and Napoleon Stalin? I dunno. Wikipedia seems too far away and I read the book a couple years ago. Either way, Trump is Stalin...I think. Don't follow enough US politics to say. Just know that some really bad candidates are competing for presidency.

I'm not sure, I don't think Trump is some magician that manipulates people into voting for him, I think there are other reasons for his success, it would be interesting to find out what those are but I don't know. I think he is kinda like Kim Jong Un but not like Hitler or Stalin so he is both a dictator and not a dictator imo.
