Far from retarded, if you ever studied history you would realize that tit eventually repeats itself, shinobi will eventually start fighting again, the Sage brought peace to the world but then war continued for centuries between clans.

Sasuke knew war would eventually happen again because people don't change and that's something Madara also knew and Naruto refused to acknowledge, when him and Sasuke die wars will start again because there's no one strong enough to keep the villages in line, why do you think people started fighting after Hashirama's death ?
