Yeah, pretty much. If Kaguya's attack bust through Sasuke's slash then the fist would be intact, but the affect was similar to when Naruto used his 5 tail strength to burst through the fist.

The only difference is that Sasuke lost, while Naruto won his clash. That would explain his change in tactics from PS slash to just using the susano'o to fight physically
