Superstition is not a disease but a belief developed out of fear. As a matter of fact, most superstition now have a scientific back-up. I don't mean they are right, but the task they are made to prevent got a scientific back-up with different reasons. For example,in my country, there is a superstition that one shouldn't sleep with their feet at south direction as that's the direction of "YAMRAJ [DEATH]". Now science says, one shouldn't sleep that way, because, our head faces north direction in that case, which can cause blood to rise up to head,I don't remember correctly, due to magnetic effect, which may result in death. Now,how do you explain this to normal folks, kids, etc. so that they actually listen & follow? By telling them some superstitious nonsense, which create fear in them.
