Here are the pro's & cons of S3 so you can decide for yourself if it is a good game or not compared to the previous Storm games that have been released.

pro's:
+ Fantastic cinematic sequences to retell the events of the Five Kage Summit and 4th Great Ninja War.
+ Tournament mode improved with exciting battle conditions (example)
+ Multiple costumes for a good majority of the roster
+ New jutsus in the form of awakening actions for the majority of roster (example)
+ 40 stages, the biggest in the Storm series (example)
+ Playable Characters: Madara Uchiha, Nagato, Rinnegan Tobi, Seven Jinchuriki
+ Instant awakening is extremely, extremely gratifying
+ New ring outs feature are a nice addition! Gives variety to stages as some have it and some don’t.
+ Original English and Japanese voices from the anime series (example)
+ Impressive soundtrack with new tunes mixed in with old Storm favorites (example)
+ Phenomenal graphics! The Storm series has blurred the line between anime and game forever! (example)
+ Online mode is back and better than ever for unlimited replay value. (example)
+ Diverse gameplay to keep the experience fresh from start to finish. Free battles, exploration, hack and slash, and quick time events (watch walkthrough)

cons:
- Lack of Swordsmen, Kinkaku/Ginkaku, 4 Edo Kage as playable characters
- Story mode ending is different from events in manga, which is still in progress.
- Ultimate Jutsu finish with secret factor: They’re phenomenal at first, but get repetitive and give rage quitters a few extra seconds to quit online matches.

Kishimoto himself has even commented on S3.

This is really exciting! The story mode in this game is extremely abundant in volume… and it seems like you can use all of the Jinchuriki in the battle mode!! Also, the video quality, animation and even all the fine details that have been put into the game look really great… Absolutely amazing!! The author shouldn’t be saying this, but this is more exciting than the manga! I can’t wait… seriously!

The game is lacking characters that was previously shown in the trailers. Its possible that the game will take the path of most FPS games and release DLC to earn more money. You will be out of the loop without the game since everyone else is buying it. It is still better than Generations, but hardly worth the $60 sticker price. If money isn't an option, buy it.

I'm guessing this was what you were looking for XD!!! For a con you could add the fact that Kakuzu had no change to his character (they showed him with all his masks/no shirt and stuff, but then he never appears in the game)

Story mode is awesome (except the ending of course), and the gameplay seems to have improved a bit since Generations.
The downside of the game is probably the roster, since it doesn't have that many characters featured in the war as I'd like.
