Is shippuden completely different??

So i've been watching some chunin exam fights an honestly try are epic AF! But i can't help but think post time skip and pre time skip Naruto are completely different. Pre time skip had the battle smarts the hand to hand combat the weapon usage etc whereas post time skip has been more explosion centric. I'm not complaining but i wonder what caused Kishi to change it up completely. It was actually quite refreshing to see Naruto relying on precision shadow clone movements and shuriken etc if felt like NINJA. I dunno maybe its just me what do you think?

I mean its weird to see the byakugan being near the sharingan in ability and the sharingan only being able to predict moves instead of all the hax shit it can do.

Naruto is good for its story in shippuden. It's like comparing the dark knight to the avengers. Dark knight had good action but a better story. Avengers has an eh story but is bad ass as shit for all the characters. I do think Naruto vs Neji is one of the most epic fights ever though. I liked shippuden better it had better potential, if I could add some of my own thoughts I think shippuden could've been the best anime ever lol and I don't mean like fanfiction. I just feel like i would pick up a lot of things kishi left hanging and that he could expand on, while keeping his story in place
