As much as i want people to start dropping dead , last time i checked Shikamaru was still breathing at then end of the chapter & with all the high level healers there i doubt he will die .

I really don't think so, just almost dead. He wouldn't kill off someone like Shikamaru so nonchalantly. The dude was the focus of an arc after all.
