I don't think anyone was actually scared to begin with. I just don't agree with the OP's logic and I used the same baseless thinking against him, since his reasons are just wank and don't have any real backing.

Ummm Shikamaru isn't scared because of the Uchiha name. Under normal circumstances if the Uchiha clan was still existing and thriving today and Shikamaru heard about 1 rogue Uchiha he would not care at all. He's only worried because the Uchiha clan IS practically extinct with only 2 known Uchiha alive. The fact that there is an un-documented Uchiha currently existing and seems like an Orochimaru experiment is what makes Shikamaru worried. Even with someone like Naruto and Sasuke as allies, Orochimaru is not one to mess about with. Hence why Shikamaru said what he said in the panel you linked.
