First, this was Sasuke's first time using Susano'o. Raikage is extremely strong, and is known for delivering extremely powerful and devastating blows. Him being able to crack through the ribcage stage of Susano'o does not in any way imply that Susano'o is weak. By the time he started fighting Mei, he had already used up most of his chakra in his fight with the Raikage. His chakra was wearing thin and the cost of Susano'o was starting to take it's toll on his body, which is why it couldn't stand up to the acid mist. You'll notice that once white zetsu restores his chakra his Susano'o stabilizes and is able to break him out of the room. Later on, after he is rescued from Onooki, he later goes on to fight Danzo in the very same day, where he develops his Susano'o to a complete form. This complete form is world's more durable than the previous form and is able to shoot an arrow so fast it can't be dodged. You call that weak?
Next is Amaterasu. Yes Gaara was able to block it with his sand. Does that mean it's weak? No. Logically Gaara could just ditch any grain of sand that was hit with Amaterasu and be perfectly fine. Sasuke's Amaterasu is stronger than Itachi's and he can even control it resulting in blaze release. It still cost Raikage his arm and could have very well cost him his leg if Gaara hadn't intervened.
Also, you're saying these techniques are weak because the Kages were able to fight against them?
