Is Sasuke's Rinnegan really unique and special?

Been thinking about it: is Sasuke's tomoed rinnegan really unique and different from the non tomoed variant? Do the tomoes mean anything at all? His rinnegan is purple/light purple as Madara and Hagoromo's.

Why are we assuming that it's different? How do we know that the tomoe aren't here to measure his ST's cooldown or recharge time, whatever you wanna call it? Since they disappear in groups of three every time Sasuke uses the tech.

We call it Sharinnegan, yet it still retains the Six Paths technique and only differs with a technique (like Madara's limbo). I'm theorizing that the tomoes are here for the purpose i showed above, but let's discuss.

The tomoe shows it maintains the Sharingan's power. That's why he can cast Genjutsu and Amatersu - both part of Sharingan's abilities.​

Susanoo is different case. Even Itachi used it without Sharingan and blind.​

It contains the Sharingan's abilities and the juubi has the same eyes to. I think that´s special about Sasukes eyes.

well Kabuto confirmed to himself that naturally rinnegen comes after sharingan, but about his eye, I think it's definetly special since he was able to put all nine beasts under his control without even eye contact and in an instant, also there that chibaki tensei of massive scale, in terms of power its special, also in terms of how it works, given the teleporting ability, not to mentioned what you said, so isn't the answer clear?

Itachi used Susano'o when blind, but Amaterasu is a different case. Didn't Susano'o stem from the brain or something?

It looks different, it does different things and he is still learning. He learned a few things watching kaguya and Madara using theirs.

Sasuke's eye is a hybrid. Madara and Itachi used Susano without their eyes. Sasuke, however, can use Amateratsu and the fullest form of Susano with his Sharinnegan. He can use two different S/T's, a swap and a simple teleport. Madara can only use Limbo, which is yet another difference. Sasuke's Juubi eye is still a mystery, there's much more to it, as shown with his 9 simultaneous genjutsu's and using Biju as the gravitational fields.

Madaras rinnegan was created from moxing the sages sons chakra bringing his chakra and eyes forth. sasukes is created from mixing indras chakra with half of the sages, so naturally it should have both tomoe and the ripple pattern and probably has a few unique abilities
