Is Sasuke's right eye useless?

Sasuke doesn't even need it to turn off amaterasu because he can simply absorb it with preta path.

Kagusutchi is for shape manipulation, theoretically he can apply that to his rinnegan techniques too.
Don't forget that all the techniques you stated require huge amounts of chakra, so adding shape manipulation helps maximise it's effectiveness.

Enton is the combined result of Kagusutchi and Amaterasu. Like Naruto's Fuuton - Rasenshuriken where it combines chakra nature and shape manipulation.

When he uses chidori with enton, it's just a combination of two nature elements and kagusutchi to stabilise it.
