Is Sasuke what's keeping the manga alive?

Come to think of it what always has made naruto better to me than bleach was the fact that the naruto manga is not so focused on naruto himself. Bleach is too ichigo focused, all about ichigo being badass and poor sado kun and orihime are completly irrelevant fodders compared to him and so is uryu.

Kishimoto however avoided the problem of being too focused on 2 characters by making Susake just as important in the manga as naruto. Just think about it guys. Would the naruto manga last 15 years if there was no sasuke? Would it be anywhere near as interesting? What about the great story of one sided frienship of naruto and sasuke? Or what about great story arcs such as the sasuke revival arc? The story of hagoromo's children?

I know that sauke is often a jerk and sometimes you may hate him but witout the him the manga would feel like dried up meat-tastless and boring. The fact that sasuke is as important to the story as naruto is what's keeping the manga alive. There were times when I hated such as during the five kage summit. But then thanbks to him we had great ridicolous moments in the manga which cheered us all up. Like the time when susuke said he would become hokage everyone was like LOL! Despite the fact that many people hate sauke I think that without him the manga would be far worse.

Yeah I see your point
I'm also glad that naruto is ashuras reincarnation instead of hagoromos and that him and sasuke share that power

I just have to point out that your analogy saying that it'd be like dried up meat; Makes no sense.

Well clearly, yes.

If he had gone along with Haggers and Naruto's plans, there would be little left.

Yep he has always carried the manga. People are more interested in a character like sasuke who is dark and mysterious. Its just like the Justice League we watched to see super heroes but batman was always the most intriguing and interesting character, superman is like naruto the plain good guy thats in all good guy vs bad guy scenarios while sasuke is like batman both are not bad but will do whatever to achieve their goal.

Nope. In shipuuden Sasuke barely had connection with main plot of the manga. (I don't mean his sub-plot)

Yeah in a way but Kishi would of found someone else to replace Sasuke maybe pain would of stayed around longer or Orochimaru but yeah sasuke makes the story interesting but he needs to die now

Well yea. Sasuke is providing conflict in an action/drama manga, being he is one of the last loose ends.

His conflict also directly questions the main themes of this entire manga, which will hopefully give us closure for the entire manga once the conflict is resolved. He is very important
