Is Sasuke the reincarnation of Indra just because

no fan war of any sort plz. i'm just curious about this.

just because kishi needs to have someone to match up with naruto?

i don't think it's because of the story, but because of that one interview where kishi says whenever he develops naruto he'll develop sasuke too, because they are like yin and yang.

but this does not match up in the story. naruto being the sage reincarnation was hinted way back when toad sage/jiraiya/minato believe naruto will bring the peace to shinobi world, or how the ten tails sensed a pair of rinnegan (sage's aura) behind naruto and became agitated to attack. somehow he became incarnation of ashura, weird, but okay, since ashura was stated to be the type of person to bring people together, like what shikamaru/tsunade/etc vouched for.

and then sasuke randomly showed up in the sage's dimension when he died too. the color page of sage and the two was nice so i didn't think too much about it, but indra was stated to be a talented individual, while sasuke depended on orochimaru, itachi, taka, and tobi. the only thing that hints towards this is that land of iron confrontation where naruto tells the sage, but i don't really buy that, it looks too much of a cop out to me.

indra was known for his battle sense/genius when it comes to things like that and sasuke has that it makes sense that his indra's reaincarnation i don't really see the problem here.

taka? you must have forgotten too that he abandoned taka. in fact, taka were the ones who looked for him. they helped him as they were willing to, not that sasuke depended on them. tobi? jesus, tobi was also abandoned by him. and he never depends on tobi. tobi wanted to use sasuke as his puppet and was willing to do anything to make sure sasuke wanted to cooperated. tobi wanted him to stay but sasuke didnt obey it. you call it depending?

naruto is never said to be the sage's reincarnated. he would bring peace, but never said so. and at that time, w still didnt know what the sage wanted (cooperating)

to be frank , the whole reincarnation thing is just a set up for free power up , and one could argue that ashura's character was made in a way so as to match with naruto in a similar fashion

naruto was never equal. he wasnt talented, stupid, sucked at almost anything. unlike sasuke and then they became equal thats been said many times that they are equal

and for bold part: i laughed. naruto will never become stronger or better than sasuke. he never has too. sasuke once was stronger than naruto, but then they're equal

not really naruto wouldn't make it that far without the help of the bijuus he only has kurama's yang chakra and he mentioned he would need it to fight sasuke

tobirama said hatred makes a uchiha stronger and when that was happening with sasuke during the kage summit his chakra started resembling genjutsu when he used susano'o and his chakra started becoming evil and colder

getting over hatred makes naruto get kurama's yang chakra while getting hatred made sasuke stronger and resemble genjutsu
that's why naruto said he needed kurama's yang to fight with sasuke
i made a theory last may 26 2013 saying that when the sage was talking to the bijuus that he meant that true power was "yin"and "yang" cooperating together; yang-younger son and yin-older son

Rikduo believes that true power is yin(elder son) and yang(older son) cooperating together and told the bijuus that there will be a day when they will know what that true power is

sasuke is talented no doubt, learning that bigass katon jutsu at 7 or so, but my point was more based on indra worked as an individual while sasuke's been shown to depend on other people like naruto/ashura.

i get your point.. but it doesn't have to be the same plot of what happened to ashura and indra or who's catching up.. their (sasuke and naruto) personality was the basis why they became the reincarnation of ashura and indra.. naruto not genius but became genius because of people around him and perseverance, and sasuke was prodigy and already since talented since birth.

Actually, evidence of Sasuke being Indra has been done since Part 1 along with his parallel to Madara, so no it wasn't just so Sasuke could be equal, it was plotted out since the beginning.


Very few of Sasuke's fights involved teamwork, in fact u can say they existed simply to make Sasuke's job easier. Honestly, even Madara ran with Izuna while he was alive, but Sasuke and Madara's sole trust in their own power and their eventual ability to cast everyone aside for the sake of their ambition makes them Indra.
