After all the years in Naruto, Sasuke is still a baby and childish with his ideals and principles. Compared to Madara and Orochimaru for example, Sasuke's reasons are absolutely pathetic. Really, this conflict and fight has been possibly the most disappointing aspect of the manga so far, the fact that Sasuke has barely developed as a character while Naruto is far superior, but is at his level due to plot.

I doubt it. I feel he is one of the bests, because he found an answer that always diverged from those who taught him at some extent.

you gotta remember sasuke is still a teenager in the rebellious stage so he tends to just blurt things out without thinking and act on impulse. this guy has been a play toy for others throughout the series constantly being manipulated all while thinking he was doing this because he wanted to. i guess after seeing itachi again he just snapped and decided he was gonna do whatever he wanted to do this time regardless of how unreasonable it is

I wouldn't say naruto is far superior when it comes to development. Both characters could have been far better

hes a bad villain simply because he was never a villain in the first place. being in darkness =/= being a villain

He's not a villain, he's more of an anti-hero.

First of all Sasuke isn't even a villain. His end goal is true peace. Madara wanted to put everyone in genjutsu and Oro wanted to rule the world. And Sasuke hasn't grown up? He left part 1 to seek power and then his goal changed to get revenge. I don't think he still has those intents..

Naruto on the other hand still has the same morals and beliefs that he had in part 1. Let's be honest here, Naruto's goals are ALOT more childish than Sasuke's. He wants to keep happiness by maintaining this shinobi system that has caused all of this hate. There has to be a solution but Naruto doesn't have an answer (yet). I think that is very childlike.
