How is he contradicting himself? He's essentially saying that he values the safety of humanity over kakashi/sakura's lives. Since naruto/sasuke are the only ones who even have a chance at stopping Kaguya......

That obviously true, but **** them. I'm talking about his views toward saving Kakashi and Sakura now.

No, he's not contradicting himself, he doesn't give a rats ass about them. It fits with his character since before the LOI, get over it.
