Technically he's a criminal, but should he be treated as such in the future? Especially after helping defeat Madara?

Do you think the people of Konoha will accept him back as one of them?

I personally think that when the truth about Danzo and the Uchiha massacre is revealed Sasuke will be looked upon as a Hero and not a criminal. He killed Danzo, a Konoha traitor and criminal plus helped stop Kabuto and stop Madara.
That should be enough right?

In all logic, the good he did out weighs the bad, at least for now

He wnot be treated as a criminal(not like they can do much anyway in terms if killing him) but the villagers won't except him unless as you said the uchiha Dazno drama gets leaked to the public.

If he is a criminal after the war he can just kill the people in charge and show how little of an impact it has on him. I doubt he will be though. Without Sasuke, Madara would win the war.

Haha being a jinchuuriki doesn't make you a criminal.

OT --> Yeah he is technically. Since he abandoned Konoha he become a "Missing Nin" which is illegal. He trained under Orochimaru and associating himself with Oro got him into the bingo books. Normally missing nin are found and killed (he was an exception because of Tsunade). He allied himself with criminal organization Akatsuki. He infiltrated and broke into Kumogakura and attempted to capture Killer Bee. Then he attacked the Kage summit which made him an international criminal. Not to mention he killed Danzo for personal reasons who was Hokage at the time.

So technically he still is a criminal.

If you mean, will he be forgiven? Probably unless he does something stupid after this is over and attempts to attack Naruto (seems unlike though). But people definitely won't trust him completely even if he did help defeat Madara. I still think he should pay for what he did though.

1.he is a criminal and he should be judged in consequence.

2.people will hardly accept him.

3.his merits should not be overlooked -> reduced sentence.

but, as we all know, no such thing will happen.

he and Naruto will be regarded as heroes and all the people will become their fanboys.

Let me ask you this. Let's say someone failed to kidnap an important person in the real world and then killed a seemingly decent politician who was trying to take over the world by force. Let's say this same person is part of the main cause to take out a major power that the entire world together could not do. This person takes out the leader of someone who will take over the world but that doesn't change his past of course.

Would you forgive a person in that scenario? I personally would, Sasuke's "good" actions far outweighs the bad IMO. And Gaara was someone who's bad outweighed his good and still became a Kage.

He should be forgiven and not chased after, but he shouldn't be allowed to come back to Konoha. The best idea would be for Sasuke to create his own village.

1).Never going to happen.
2). Danzo was a hokage candidate, Sasuke is the traitor.
3).He also helped start the war.

Logically Yeah , IMO he needs to pay for all he did , but in Naruto Logic everything is fine & dandy.

On a more serious note: You say he needs to "pay" - what will he pay? If you were writing the manga, what punishment would you give?
