Is Sasori REALLY underrated?

Most of the characters who are not the followings are underrated:

-Uchiha
-Senju DNA owner
-Doujutsu user (other than sharingan)
-Minato
-Naruto

...Sasori is one of them; he is strong; but since he does not involve cheap-ass techs such as Amaterasu or one-shot tailed beast bomb, meteor; he gets underrated. And matchups matters; to most shinobis atleast; that is what makes them interesting.

He's underrated, but at the same time a good deal of people overrate him to the extreme.

Since he doesn't have godlike speed nor godlike firepower he's automatically underestimated by members of NB (considering how these two factors are overrated themselves). Not to mention he got defeated by Sakura (AND Chiyo, but to make it look worse only Sakura is mentioned most of the times) who was considered fodder even after her great improvement from part 1 to part 2 (excluding war arc, and even now...).
He simply isn't evaluated correctly and didn't have the impact to own an army of fanboys, but is definetly mid-kage level.
