Is Sakura's relationship with Sasuke a fantasy?

If you look at the top right panel, you'll see Sakura's photo is put over Kairn in the Taka picture. I'm not totally sure if Karin's the real mother, but the manga looks like it's heading that way. People keep talking about how horrible Sasuke and Sakura's relationship is. However, the fact that Sakura forcibly put her image on a reused Taka pic makes me question if they even have one. I'm suspecting that Sakura's "relationship" is a fantasy altogether. That's some disturbing crap if this is what ends up happening.

I don't think that'll happen. I'm more worried about mistaking this thread for a troll/bash one when I'm actually considering the possibility. Given that the comments, I wouldn't blame them for making that mistake.

Well, think about this. Even if Sakura and Sasuke had a short boyfriend/girlfriend relationship, why would Sasuke not have the time for a photo? Heck, why would the only picture of Sasuke be with his team?


As for the glasses, they're probably just the same model. Either that, or Kishi doesn't know how glasses work. Your vision degrades over time, so a 16-18 year old Karin would certainly have more degradation (and prescription) than her 13 year old daughter (assuming she's the mother).

If I remember correctly, 1 of the promotional pictures sketches of Sarada done by Kishi for the Boruto movie listed Sarada as Sasuke and Sakura's daughter.

There is a chance that Sarada is miss-understanding the situation, and Sakura really is her mother. Let's wait and see.

Sakura could have adopted her and legally she would be her mother but it doesn't change the fact that someone else is obviously Sarada's biological mother...
