Obviously she is, but why does Kishimoto implement reasons for us not to believe that?

In the Last at the end, Naruto was a father with kids around the ages of 4-7 who could speak and communicate. And in the flash back, Naruto was the Hokage, meaning this was around 700's time frame when everyone was in the academy at best.
I'm pretty sure Kishimoto drawing everyone exactly they same as they are now is another point, unless someone can prove Naruto and the rest of the Gokage's (and Sakura/Sasuke) ALL look the same after 10+ years after the children were born.

Now even I think Sakura is the mother ... but this red herring sucks. Honestly it can both ways at this point if Kishimoto wants to.

Honestly I think if this turns out true, then Karin died with Sasuke's child, Sakura took care of it while Sasuke was away, and Sakura kept a photo of Karin to give to Sarada in the future.
Even if Sakura calls her "my child", so does every other adoptive parent once they raise a child of their own, even if they are not bound my blood. I'm sure Naruto would not know either ... but even then this shit is weird.
