[Discussion] Is revenge bad ?

Revenge is selfish but at the end of the day, when you die, you die alone so sometimes it's good to be selfish. Also why wait for karma to take it's course when you yourself can gain instant gratification.

It feels good, but yeah its bad. You shouldn't take the law into your own hands as long as we have a choice, that is y we have the judicial system.

And why we have vigilantes when that system fails a lot

Depends. When I was in 2nd grade, this kid used to make fun of me and push me over and the teachers wouldn't do anything about it, so I started a hate club against him and got him in trouble for things we did, and eventually he got kicked out of school. I probably wouldn't be that vengeful now. But if I really wanted revenge for something horrible committed against me, I'd wait for an opportunity to do it anonymously or in a way I could get away with it.

It's bad, but it won't stop me from enacting on it. If someone kills my mom (or my dad) or my brother or my dog in a way they meant to do it, I'm taking my Katana and flaying them alive.
