Nah that second part'd be crazy, like shooting themselves in the foot a bit. I haven't looked in to it yet but I would guess any PS4 title will play on any PS4 console. Unless they're changing the disk size of the Pro/Slim's but they shouldn't be.

NO and you would be retarded to buy it. Buy the slim or xbox one S if you don't currently have a console. For 4k xbox one s is even better that I know. I suggest you not to buy a new console if you already own a current gen one. You are better of waiting for some real 4k console like xbox one scorpio or ps5 which will probably release in 2018
