As for love, it's hard to spread love in places that are not peaceful, but it's not impossible. It could be a longer lasting solution than the power that humans have. We have nukes keeping us at bay that will only last for so long, and we will eventually destroy ourselves.

Obviously if everyone loved and respected each other thats the way, saying power is silly except for the narutoverse where a character can be more powerful than the rest of the world combined, but even then assassination is a very real thing. In real life you can't have enough power to contain everybody and every uprising, scaring people won't keep them silent most of the time

You want people to love you, and yet fear at the same time. A leader needs to have both qualities; if one is loved yet weak anarchy will overthrow him. If one is feared and not love it is a dictatorship because you do not have a relationship with the people and they probably don't even want that person as leader.

You can't say love and power, that's just power disguised as love. You preach one thing but whenever someone doesn't agree with you. Power is used to keep them in line, so in the end power is all that matters. I for one think power is the key.

Look at our own world, laws are reinforced in order to maintain peace and that requires power, the fear of punishment keeps us from doing whatever we please. Without power, humanity would never have been able to create a civilization.
