Is PC gaming worth it?

I've had a PS3 for years and I think the PS4 looks rad. I'm just tired of console gaming, and have grown out of sitting on the couch all night....:bouncy:


So is Steam sales, Max Graphics, Mods, and Multimedia worth it? Gaming PC's cost thousands and soon become outdated.

Steam sales are a ploy to get you to buy games that you will NEVER play. One of my roommates has bought 500 games from Steam sales and has played maybe 20 of them

pc gaming is great for awhile i guess.
i started playing SWTOR, but eventually got bored of it after beating the main story line

i built my on gaming pc for about 1200$ and i can run all of my games on the highest quality. You dont need to even spend that much u can build one for like 700-800 that would be decent. Idk about running on max setting but it will run smooth.

If you love higher FPS counts, ten times better graphics, and saving money on games, then yes.


To me, it is always worth it, but that's only if I had the money for a really great PC, which I don't have :dead:

Ok, then I would recommend a computer, you can have one that can play nearly any game (high-ultra) out about 1,300. The perks you have mentioned all come with computer gaming as well as the choice to have a superior interface at all times, as well as the many other capabilities a standard computer has that a console does not.

The main thing you will miss out on for consoles are the console exclusives and superior matchmaking in multiplayer games.

Computers overall allow users to enjoy a wider spectrum of games as well, and allow more UI and screen customizations in game.

It's worth it if you're willing to spend £600+.

That's the great thing about the PS4, it costs £350 and has the specs of a £600-700 gaming PC, and, the games will be optimized for consoles making the game look even better.

Imo, that's the only thing going for PC gaming; higher specs.

And TF2. Damn I love TF2. Too bad my £150 PC can't handle it.

If you want something solely for the purpose of gaming then a console isn't bad at all. It's always nice to have a gaming computer because it's also your personal computer. You use it for web browsing, chatting, movies, ect.

My ps3 has web browsing, can watch movies and stream netflix, has webchat....But yeah the only thing about PC is mods, customization and speed/graphics

You use your ps3 to webchat, web surfing, and buy all your movies? I would think a keyboard would make that a better experience, but it sounds like your set with a console. Sounds like your set to me. Buy a ps4

PC is expensive (but in the long run it's gonna be cheaper then console gaming). Get a Ps4. Although i've heard that PC gaming is better then console gaming i'm sticking with consoles since i like them more.

I say buy ps4, $399 is worth the cost man....

It's true that in pc,you will get max. graphics,and experience,but the cost is very high,hell oh! wait,it only cost me $280 to built a pc,which is able to play all games on ultra setting till now...
though my resolution is just 1024x768....

PC gaming is better than console if you spend on it.
The only downside is console exclusive titles and can be used for Multimedia & Internet.

That's why I prefer console gaming. The only benefits of PC gaming is slightly better graphics and modding. I don't think it's worth the extra few hundred dollars (it could be more) and it doesn't seem like the benefits outweigh the extra costs.
