[Discussion] Is Orochimaru really that weak or Kishi did not like him.

I mean that, Kishi made Orochimaru look like invincible and made me love him (or her) . But then he made him fail miserably, always, always. He kept him the cause for the main events but never gave him an important position wich led many people to underestimate the powers of Orochimaru-sama. What do you guys think ???

I think that the power levels just went to hell. If they had frozen when they reached pain-level power then orochimaru would still be boss, but then we reach Madara, Kaguya, Obito, DMS susanos and shit, that leave Orochimaru on shame, hell even when they started showing Jinjuricki powers he was left behind.

Anyways don't forget his edo tensei hokages saved the alliance, and it's technically his jutsu, so he took a shit on the juubi by himself.

Well that is both correct and not correct. Orochimaru at the start of Naruto series was the main villain, and with that comes a certain amount of attention and build up as it would with any other main character.At the time of the Original series Power-levels were consistent for the most part and you could argue that battling at the time was more keen on showcasing skill then power.Nonetheless as the series and characters grew so did the power.All the way up to the start of shippuden, and then things started to get a bit more wild in terms of the power levels, but back to the original question at hand.For one Orochimaru at the start was the main villain as I mentioned and with that comes attention to the character himself from the fans and Kishi emphasizing his power intellect and ect as well as showcasing his general abilities and fighting style.As the series continued the role of main villain swapped hands a few times and with that the attention on orochimaru saw replaced for the attention of another.Though Imo I find Orochimaru to be an incredibly important character as well as an important one.In terms of power a lot of people tend to forget that We have never really seen the full extent of his abilities , something else to note is he was constantly up against strong opponents.Hiruzen (even at his age was powerful) Naruto, Sasuke, Pervy and Tsunade (some debate but I count it nonetheless) and Pein (game version but whatever).I liked the turn of event of how orochimaru went from evil personified to a teacher who wanted to follow the new path created by his student.

It's not that he's weak. Obviously far from. While sick and dying he was toying with an awakening/transforming 9 Tailed Fox. It's just that what we've seen from him for the entire series is just a small fraction of his power due to Shiki Fuujin. The only person to truly, truly defeat Orochimaru was Itachi. And even then Orochimaru still survived, both times.
When Orochimaru was at his highest power during the War Arc, he wasn't the focus so we didn't see anything from him.

But currently Orochimaru is easily the third strongest character, and once Naruto and Sasuke die he'll be *the* strongest. So in the end everything played out nicely for him.

I'm still dissapointed that in the 700+ chapters he wasn't made a god basically... having finally collected all the information about juubi, rikkudo sennin, kaguya and more, that he while the exit of his hideout is being monitored has made himself more powerfull then kaguya.

I wonder if kishi continues Manga what will be his role? He must(looks) Very Strong.... has 2x Shin Uchiha,thats basically EMS, this is ultimate body it can merge any DNA w\o reject, probably master DSM(better than Kabuto), I think he also has countless dead shinobi dna for Edo Tensei and who knows how many forbiden jutsus he created though experiment, probably Mokuton too...(Zetsu Body) He would make super good final villain!!! Tired of Otsutsuki and Uchiha.

there should have been one more arc after the war where team 7 and or tsunade kill oro but a chain of events leads to sasuke fighting naruto

I think he should have been the final villain, honsetly i dont see the purpose in bringing him back otherwise. They could have easily made kabuto wakeup from the genjutsu a new man and had him revive the kages. If we are lucky maybe he will return to his villian ways if boruto ever gets another movie

Kabuto couldnt revive Hokages they were sealed, he himself said it would be good if i had Hokage too...

I agree Oro would be great FV...and he still has chance if kishi continues...

Kishi trolled him, hard.
When we first see him, he owns team 7 and even makes kakashi shit his pants, he wrecks konoha and manages to retreat.
Then he started to become a joke, he became just a step to make itachi a mary sue and then he got beat by sasuke and then he gets totsuka'd.
All that shit about experimenting and researching and all that hype for nothing, pshh.
