Is Obito really evil?

Obito was trying to reduce Konoha's military capacity, and to capture Kurama. Killing Minato and his wife was just part of a personal vendetta. Obviously, Obito holds all of reality in contempt. From a neutral point of view, it's totally understandable someone would want to kill their former teacher if they were like Minato.

I mean the guy was basically a failure as a husband and a teacher altogether

Obito to take out Madara? High possibility. Madara told Hashirama that he'll be the one to cast the Infinite Tsukuyomi and fulfill his real dream, but Obito is currently stronger than him and if he decides that Madara's on his way, he can use his powers to make Madara's Edo Tensei body useless and that will be it for Madara. But with this move, he won't help that much the Alliance, because unless Madara shows his trump card, right now the main threats are Obito and the Shinju. Obito is the most evil character in the manga in my opinion.

Obito has good intentions, Hes just going about it the wrong way.

He's a crazy uchiha who who couldn't coop with the world's faults and a girl's death by her own
But I guess you can consider him evil, since he goes out of his way to kill anyone who tries to stop his plan

Evil? Nah, I'd say he's mentally ill, unstable, delusional, and every other synonym you can think of for crazy. I mean, he has lost the ability to distinguish illusion from reality. The Rin who died can't be 'real' because if she were 'real' she wouldn't have died. So his 'dream' Rin must be the real Rin because she'll still be alive. His entire thought process is out of whack.
