Uchiha's aren't associated with winning, they win for the most part but they've got a beating and that's why they're the best clan. They got the beating from the Senju so much that they turned into literal beasts. Madara's generation lives with his emotionally vampant side, thanks to Tobirama who drove the Uchiha further down the rabbit hole with his discriminatory system. All in all, they were losers that came out winners because of war and their innate powers being awakened from such war.

As for Obito he just got the other end of the stick. He's a peculiar rarity like Naruto was to the Uzumaki, but both ended up immensely powerful, so it's down to how you see it.

1st image, he was a 14 year old against a grown man.
2nd image He chose to die and to save Kakashi. If he wanted to, he could have easily just warped away the bone that was​ coming at himself and he could just let Kakashi take the hit.

Anyway, in the war it took literally a whole army to beat Obito.
