Is Naruto's speed overrated?

I'm starting to think it was overrated by many including myself. I noticed every new power he ges it shows a 1 time speed feat,I anyone else notice?

Haku couldn't keep up with 0tail kyuubi mode and Neji barely could either showing it's speed feat not much was seen from it after.

He seemed fast at destroying asura path but hasnt really done anything like that again.

People say he is faster than the Raikage because...... he dodge him? Now by no means is he slow but dodging doesn't mean faster and Ay never said Naruto was faster. That was really the only speed feat we seen from it. Nagato had no trouble with it's speed, neither did the 3rd raikage and Obito was about to capture him till Guy nearly kicked it head off.

Naruto blitzed through 5 tailed beast bombs and Kakashi said sensei?. I thought like a lot of people this form makes him the fastest alive but now I'm not sure. Kurama body is tough and as block some powerful techs, I think this is the mean reason he deflected the tbb not exactly speed and Kakashi confusing Naruto for his sensei, I think it's because the cloak color and the flash of yellow when running like when Minato uses ftg, not because of speed like him. I've seen people say he is as fast as ftg.

Naruto has blitzed Madara and Obito a few times and it ended with Naruto on his back. Like when he try to hit Madara with mini tbb Madara blocked it. This should not happen if he is faster than Ay because he had a ton of trouble following him and needed susanoo but not for Naruto. He should easily be able to blitz Obito and Madara with Rasengan or anyone and end the war but he has never done it.

Do you think Naruto is really the fastest alive? When ever Guy, A, and Lee blitz people they are successful but Naruto has yet to be.

He's likely the fastest alive, but that doesn't mean that he'll beat everyone, like most people seem to think. We've often seen ninjas with great speed lose to slower opponents.

But the speed does grant him a great advantage. And he is the fastest in the world :y

Yes alive it is but mostly by hype for dodging raikage's top speed. At long distance he's nowhere faster than the 4th anyway.

Why does Madara struggle with A's speed more than Naruto's? I need to see another speed feat from him cause it hasn't been a factor at all in the war.

He's the fastest alive, but his speed is 100% exaggerated by members here. They all say "he speed blitzes, no difficulty" when in fact Nagato, Itachi, Obito, and Madara have all kept up with him in hand to hand combat. His speed is only good when plot needs it to be.

I don't think Naruto is using shunshin all the time, but when he does yeah he's the fastest. he should be able to move faster than Madara and Obito's ability to register him, but he's not for some reason

Here is the thing...... This happens when people try to over analyze the manga. Naruto surpassed A's speed making Naruto the fastest living shinobi. When you look at why does this ninja struggle with this fight, but this ninja doesn't..... Who really cares, but to answer your question maybe it is fear, or technique, or the weather, or maybe one of the fighters like to think a little longer than the other one does. So basically there is no answer to your question other than what has been shown in the manga to be fact.

Exactly, his speed doesn't seem to be a big part of his combat like A or Guy's this is why I made the thread cause way to many people has been keeping up with him, even a cripple it's scratchs my head.

Remember when vs. threads were made about alive madara and naruto? Remember how nearly 90% of the base said naruto's speed would make him impossible to beat? I do. And guess what, madara hasn't even been hit yet in this fight. He might as well be alive because it doesn't matter. Naruto's speed is seemingly only good for running around the world, kneeing walls, and creating plot by stopping TBB's.

Yes his speed is so overrated on here, some act like no one will be able to keep up with him because of his speed..which is obviosuly not true. There was even this one guy who said Obito can't beat Naruto because he can't catch him cause Naruto is too fast...lol what a load of BS.

Naruto has only been shown to use his major speed in short bursts.

Basically, it is foolish to say his speed is used in his combat style just like Guy or A, because it clearly isn't. So his speed isn't a game changing factor in most fights.

I knew I wasn't the only one thinking this, Kishi does like to give Naruto's new power ups a 1 time speed feat then brings it back down to earth.

It's really not. Not Itachi, nor Nagato, nor Madara, nor Obito have ever been described as blindingly fast, and yet they are all keeping up with the fastest ninja in the world.

That's because he hasn't directly used their shushin(however it's spelled) on them.
