I've seen people say that Naruto's henge is different, Naruto's Henge is solid, and whatnot. I've seen Narutopedia classifying transformation technique as a ninjutsu however. Does this mean that all transformations are solid? Or does the emitted chakra maintain an illusion around the user? If its an illusion, then it wouldn't explain how its a ninjutsu. What are your thoughts?

I think Naruto's Henge is solid. Just like his Kage Bunshin is different from regular Bunshin that is just an illusion.

illusions are genjutsu :] but I guess you are questioning the difference between REAL shadow clones and FAKE clones.

well.. Naruto learned REAL (TOBIRAMA invented SOLID) shadow clones from the scroll he stole for Mizuki.
while his classmates were practicing FAKE (image only) clones.

other clones by other characters can also be real *SOLID* like Mokuton Wood Clones for instance.. or WATER clones.

some are just illusions like the ones Team 7 & Kabuto fought in the Forest of Death.

he's talking about naruto's transformation jutsu.. he's asking if when naruto turns into someone or something does he actually turn into it or does he just put an illusion around himself to make people think he turned into it

Precisely. Not to mention the time when he transforms to something of smaller size. Like the time when he and Sasuke used the Shadow windmill shuriken technique. I don't think the water was disturbed when it was thrown. It implies that there was either an illusion covering the water below him, or that he really transformed.
