Is Naruto's hand seal a sun or a full moon?

Im my opinion it makes more sense for it to be a full moon, mostly because Rikudou's family has no connection at all to the sun so why would it be a symbol for the sun.

Sun. Naruto was never the moon type to begin with. The crescent was used for the Moon due to being the most common and understandable symbol of Dark/Yin.

You can see Indra and Ashura each standing with the very same symbols at night.. and they both are the moon.. One crescent and one full.
But I could still be wrong...
By the way, Yin and Yang are just opposites and does not only means light and dark..
Good and Evil, White and Black, Sun and Moon, Full Moon and Crescent Moon... Man and Woman... and so on.
