Is Naruto:UNS3 Really All That Great? Improvement on UNS2?

I don't have the game, but people have been telling me that it's a great game and really fun to play. Even so, I still didn't really make my decision because I wanted to check out the gameplay. So my first impressions were: this is a copy and paste of Storm 2. The new characters are boss and all but the gameplay looked about the same as Storm 2! I don't know if I haven't seen enough gameplay or whatever, but I seriously see no change! Part of my mind was telling me playing it would actually make me have some fun, but I then decided to check the reviews. Lots were really bad on many webs, things like 5/10, 6/10, 65% like it etc., which really surprised me! Still, I thought most of those people reviewing are probably not even Naruto fans to begin with. So I have 2 choices: get the game under the assumption it's underrated or not get it thinking that the reviews are true. I know this game has been out for a while, but that doesn't mean I have to immediately make a choice. What do you guys say? Is their much improvement made from Storm 2 in Storm 3? Or no? Is this game really all that great? Is it deserving of its ratings?

There are no improvements whatsoever, unless you count instant awakenings(feel the sarcasm). Story mode was good, online sucks out the ass

Trust me, It's not the best of games, but waay better than Storms 2. A bit better than Gens.

Compared to Storm 2 It's a big Improvement. It has a larger roster. I personally like the story mode better. More balanced. Feels smoother and faster. Only problem is Frame skips here and there and on ocasion you can't sub. Now if you have played generations a lot then don't buy it feels like a copy and paste except with a much better story mode. Unless your a true Naruto fan then get it. Me my advice unless you really like Naruto don't get it but if you do buy it ASAP!

It got 8.6 on IGN, all the bad scores was from reviwers that played the game on ****ing ENGLISH Dub so they don't know sh!t about naruto and the can smd

I didn't have any of the previous games so I bought Storm 3, it's a very fun game for Naruto fans, the Online is great and the Story Mode, it's just Namco Bandi/CC2 trolled us with no Kin&Gin no Edo Kage and no seven swordmen, they also made an non-canon ending.

The online is great I can play hours and hours without getting bored, but the characters not balanced, there are characters that far better, I can tell you that there is character so op that I got 15-2 on ranked matches without any efforts.

Yeah, i think the biggest problem with online is that the chars are not balanced at all. You'll fight against Nagato, Madara, Neji, Itachi, and EMS Sasuke a lot.

That's why I main Masked Man, Obito is my favorite charachter, and I liked him the most when he attacked Konoha and Controlled Kirigakure, and he is broken sh!t insane IA action.

This is my review in comparison to NUNSg (The review will be just cons, since there arent many pros other than new characters, new story mode, and new mechanics):

• You dont get what your promised as far as the roster goes, they did provide the jinchuriki, along with madara, tobi and edo nagato and itachi. But THATS IT, no edo kages, no seven swordsmen, there not even there as supports, which makes no sense since there jutsu's are already in the game, why couldnt they just make them playabe as supports?...
• The story mode is good, but it is lengthened by alot of random and seemingly unnecessarily chatter and walking. For instance at the very end after beating madara you have to walk for a while over to where you fight tobi, there is nothing important about where your walking too, nothing special about walking through those areas and the game wouldnt be any less for not making you walk all that distance. On top of that the game is suppose to take 10 hours to beat, but all i play is online so i tried to run through it to unlock champs, and by skipping through the talking ( by spamming A) i managed to cut the 10hours down to 7...
• New mechanics, like relay are pretty useless and I personally dont use them at all although relay cancels are somewhat interesting. Also they tried to revamp the way substitutions work but that just ends up with even more weird things going on, alot of times when I subs in the middle of a combo i will be put in the air rather than on the ground which is akward when trying to bdash or cdash or even use jutsu after subbing.
• Also you have to be very carefull about subbing into a cdash because if you double click the jump button your going to do a ninja move. In NUNSG you could sub, chakra load, then spam jump all day and you would dash. Now if you sub and click sub more than one you end up doing a ninja move which is gonna hurt if your opponent cdashs after you.
• No more Ninja Move Cancels
  The shading of the support types selection is weird and its hard to tell when a support type is locked or unlocked and its weird to pick since when highlight the support type turns red, which to me says oh its locked, but really that just means its highlight. Its not an issue when you get accustomed to it but its somewhat annoying and just poor planning on cc2's part.
• Instant awakenings are running a muck and with that spamming has evolved into a beast that we can no longer afford to fed. Its not rare to see someone pick mifune, cdash, start a combo and awaken and then cdash you down until your gaurd is broken or you run out of subs. If you though awakenings were OP before, now they can do it WHENEVER THEY WANT.

With that said it really is a fun game, and considering that if you dont get it your gonna be stuck with NUNSG or an older game for atleast a year its not worth waiting, imo the pro's of the game far outweight the cons and i wouldnt trade in NUNS3 even for double what I paid. And if your still playing NUNS2, gtfo, no subs bars? really? NUNS2 is fodder compared to NUNS3... NUNS3 is Hashirama and NUNS2 is that guy with the chain that kakashi beat while him and naruto and them were protecting that bridge builder guy...
