Well they both have the Kyuubi's chakra, but Naruto actually has the Kyuubi on his side. Naruto also has the rasenshuriken, but Minato has his flying thunder god technique and great intelligence. It's hard to say, but I'm going with Minato.

I agree, Naruto has outsmarted and overwhelmed all his opponents (even Pain) what makes Minato any different?

Minato is still stronger than Naruto. Once Naruto gets some sealing jutsus & full Kurama chakra then he will be stronger than Minato.
