Is naruto or shikamaru a better hokage

Naruto will be the hokage because he is already popular among the konoha people an they want him to be hokage. Shikamaru is more intelligent and smart than naruto no doubt but he can still serve as naruto's advisor just like his dad does for tsunade.

Just let's put it this way pain attacks konoha you got a shikamaru as hokage b naruto as hokage
People saying you need brains above strengt i wanna see shikamaru handle pain how god may kishi may know but as far i think konoha is dead no one alive... (theres no tsunade)
now naruto as hokage youve seen him beat pain and become the vilage hero lets say he masterd sage before the attack the only thing they need to worry about was the fox but you can see naruto even outsmarted pain at some points so pls dont say naruto is to dumb to be a hokage he is the person for the job.
if you rather have someone on top who isnt feared for is power but for hes brains i dont think brains can see an attack comming all the time so whats going to happen if you get something like the oro incident at the chuuning exam? if it wasnt for guess who naruto there would be a raging tailled beast loose on konoha lets outbrain that -_-.

Shikamaru, although my favourite character is a slacker, who although has grown up considerably in Shippuden, still just is not the sort of person designed to have the role of Hokage. He IS a genius, and caring and all but is best suited to a role such as his dad's, Shikamaru also seems fine with the rank of chunnin and doesn't seem to want to rank up or rank down.
Shikamarus incredibly intelligent, but the role of Hokage requires more than that.
Imagine Naruto in that situation as immature as he is now. It just wouldn't work out, Naruto must be hokage- but he still has a hell of a lot of growing up to do beforehand.

I do agree with the fact Naruto would make a more fitting hokage than shikamaru, but think about another situation. At the hokage summit, remember how Gaara verbally embarrassed the other Kages? Shikamaru, despite his age would be able to lead his village and plan good strategies- basically how it happens in the real world.

Shikimaru would be the first one dead if he was Hokage at the Kage summit.......listen guys we dont want someone weaker than Tsunade stepping up to be Hokage do we....Naruto is the best candidate and shiki can work as his secretary.
