If Sasuke was born earlier than Naruto. This means that Sasuke was the first one in school. We also know that Naruto had to retake his exam class 2-3 times which probably means he spent 2-3 more years in the same class.

Even if they were born at the same time and joined the class at the exact same time. Naruto still failed a few times which should've put him behind Sasuke in terms of graduation.


So, if Sasuke was first born and Naruto failed 2-3 times his exam how is it possible that they are classmates ?

It's possible that Naruto was sent to school early because he had no parents and he couldn't just be running rampant while everybody else is out doing their jobs or at school. And Sasuke was sent in later than Naruto getting private tutoring from his parents before getting admitted into the Academy

Pretty sure Naruto just tried taking the graduating exam before he was actually ready while Sasuke and others simply waited until they learnt everything they could. Kakashi graduated at age 5 I think so it all depends on how fast you can learn everything (basic ninja skills).
