To answer your question op, academy years in Naruto are different than our school years. They probably examine the students say, every 3 months and have a couple weeks of 'summer'.

databook and narutowiki aren't facts show me a panel where it says saukes birthday??? all we know was sasuke was a newborn right as kushina was going to the hideout to give birth. you guys must be the type of people who read Wikipedia and think its all facts. do you realize that anyone can create and edit a wikipedia page. im saying sasuke is most likely 2-6 weeks older than naruto so show me manga proof that sasukes birthday is july 23. We all know how the manga kept mentioning in part 1 that Naruto failed his school exam in front of Iruka at least 2 times in a row.

This means Naruto took a certain class grade 3-4 times which results that Sasuke is 3-4 years younger than Naruto or he failed the exam exactly like the main character.

Or, Naruto simply entered the academy earlier than Sasuke.

But as stated, Sasuke is some months older than Naruto.

Based on the interaction between Kushina and Mikoto, Sasuke has to be 1-3 months older than Naruot MAX....given the school enrollment period, they'd still be in the same grade even if they're a few months apart...weren't you a few months apart in age from your class mates when you were in school?

As for Naruto taking the exams multiple times---that's just a Kishi short fall.....we never got a clear idea of how often the exams were given or at what age Naruto entered the academy. It's possible that he was enrolled prior to his peers bc of his circumstances, but who knows.

These are the questions ppl should've asked Kishi at ComiCon, but they'd rather ask him BS.
