Is Naruto like Hiruzen?

He's letting his best friend take care of things for Konoha solo in the shadows. This is what Hiruzen let Danzo do because he needed to fight evil with a different evil.

He wanted to be Hokage but never got it, like Danzo. His ways are pragmatic and may seem evil, like Danzos. End the end, Sasuke couldn't surpass Naruto, like Danzo could never surpass Hiruzen. Naruto are the leaves bathing in the sun, Sasuke are the roots that lay in the shadows.

Will Sasuke become the next Danzo?

I agree with you.... it seems like history is repeating itself.... The only differences is that danzo seemed much more manipulative and almost untrustworthy... I dont think this will be the path for Sasuke...

Are are fool. Do not ever compare Naruto to third who was traitor and a bastard. He let Orichmaure getting away with all the crimes he committed. And he did not stop Danzo from betrayed the village.

unless i'm missing something, Sasuke's mission had to come from somebody; especially if it's an official one. More to the point, i don't see much of any other reason as to why Sasuke reported back to Naruto about his encounter with Shin.

Sasuke is the boss of Naruto. Look at how quickly Naruto dropped his Hokage duties/his son's graduation when Sasuke summoned him.

Danzo and Hiruen were nothing but evil- posterior-buddies. Nothing they did was even remotely on the side of 'Good'. Let's get real here. Sasuke and Naruto are nothing like them.

Sasuke isn't really operating in the shadows though. He's doing missions for the village just like every other shinobi but we can obviously assume that the ones he are doing are S rank secret ones because noone else in the village can do them aside from naruto.
