the red hair is a common trait but not an enforced thing, naruto is only half uzumaki, i think kishimoto needs to address with more properly by explaining cross clan breeds and how powers and traits are being transferred that way. god that sounds weird...

Technically he's not from the clan considering the clan was obliterated before his birth. Legally, he would be a Namikaze assuming he would have taken his father's name.... an Uzumaki if his mothers.


He's basically half Uzumaki and half Namikaze.
