Is Naruto a better strategist than Shikaku?

No I mean, Shikamaru would have found out how his jutsus worked but would have lost. I'm just saying no matter the result, Shikamaru would have found out their abilities.

If you give Shikamaru all of Naruto's powers during the Pain fight along with Jiraiya's intel, Shikamaru would have lost simply because he wouldn't have figured out the Six Paths of Pain and how to counter them and win. Naruto is simply at another level strategically.

nah you guys calling naruto stupid. He is stupid but in battle he is pretty smart and come up with pretty badass strategies

just because naruto gets some smart ideas during battle doesnt make him smarter than shikaku, shikaku is a battle strategies who will have hundreds of plans backed up in case a plan fails. naruto just has battle instinct and its this what gives naruto the unpredictability factor.
