Is Nagato alive? Questions on doujustu inheritance and survival of Nagato

Hi, I have three unanswered queries reagrding certain facts.I believe some of you might have answers:
1.About inheritance of eyes(Sharingan and Rinnegan): According to the story Sasuke inherited Itachi's sharinagan and Nagato got Madara's rinnegan. Then how come the edo tensei forms of Madara and Itachi still have them.Further, Nagato's eyes were taken by Obito and even edo Nagato have his Rinnegan.So is it like these are not physical eyes but just an ability? If so then how can one transplant the eyes to get them.
2.Usage of Inzanami:If Itachi was able to use his sharingan to use inzanami on Kabuto loosing his eyes then how come Sasuke didn't loose the sight of that eye which he got from Itachi?
3.Survival of Rinnegan User:It is shown in manga that eventhough edo tensei was stopped, Madara was able to survive due to his Rinnegan( This is what I understood, correct me if I am wrong).In that case what happened to Nagato?.He too have Rinnegan, he should also be able to survive right? If thats the case then I bet he'll show up in the battle to help Naruto and others..

I wish, but Madara released the Edo Tensei through hand seals, the Rinnegan had nothing to do with it. Nagato is about as dead as they get, he's even been sealed

Edo tensei revives the person the way they before they died.

what edo itachi did with his eyes has no effect on sasukes eyes.

Did you not see nagato get one shotted and sealed forever by a totsuka blade? I know i did.


An edo tensei doujutsu arent the real/legit eyes of the user simply a copy of some sort.

And edo madara probably used some foribbiden jutsu to counter edo tensei.
