Is Garp Yonko Level?

We know that Monkey D. Luffy will be Yonko level by EOS and some would argue that Monkey D. Dragon is curently yonko level (Highest Bounty in Series) and hyped as extremely powerful. So if we follow the pattern of this families strength would it be accurate to also consider Garp to be of Yonko level strength.

He did rival the pirate king and was certain that he could single handedly kill an admiral even at an old age. Even after watching how he effortlessly put Marco down, it gives you reason to believe that he may be an yonko level opponent.

None given, but based on his reputation it would be insanely high. It's also possible that the law of 0 power = Omnipotent is in effect, and Dragon/Yonkou don't have set bounties.

He was absolutely yonko level when he was a young man and even as a grandpa he may still be yonko lvl, at the very worse he's admiral lvl.

Admiral and Yonkou captains are of a more or less equal standing but yes Garp is at that level even at his age in the manga now. Garp would have killed Akainu at MF if there had been no interference.

Then why did Sengoku get involved and stop Garp from attacking Akainu? Also Garp at MF was the angriest we've ever seen him and it's basic reasoning that anime characters get stronger when they're angry. So we can safely say Garp was at his strongest level at the time at that moment.

Why do you two think he wouldn't/couldn't?

1. Image. The entire point of the war was to show the dominance and effectiveness of the Marines and WG, hence why they went with such an extravagant and public execution of such a dangerous criminal. That's why Sengoku had Aokiji and the other staff cut off video feeds multiple times during the war, and why parts of it was broadcasted in the first place. How would it look if a legend like Garp among the Marines attacked not only a fellow Marine, but an Admiral?

2. How do you know he didn't hold down Garp because Garp would have gotten himself killed? Just because he was confident that means that Garp was definitely going to win and kill Akainu? In that case, Enel, Lucci, Caesar, Buggy and Foxy all should be stronger than Luffy and and have all killed him when they fought right? Oh wait...

Garp turned down the offer to be promoted to Admiral multiple times :sdo: That's why Kuzan was a Garp fanboy :sdo: , he also got saved by Garp on something we don't know "I can now safely say we're even Garp-san" thinking to himself...

In terms of Power I am sure Garp ftw but murdering Akainu? I am not sure about that
