Is Mokuton really great or is it just Hashi/Madara making it look good?

Is Mokuton just good because guys like Hashi/Madara use it? Those guys have insane chakra + skill and can use it in a bijuu level magnitude. If you replace Mokuton in their arsenal with Gale Style, Crystal Style, Scorch Style, Lava Style, or any KKG jutsu I think Hashi/Madara would be far better. What do you guys think?

Hashirama is a better handler of mokuton. It is said that Hashirama can do better than Madara because of the difference of experience using the technigue. Other says Madara's is better because it might be inhanced by the rinnegan.

Mokuton is great if you're a top class ninja because techniques such as forest spawning are OP. When used by a good ninja (like Yamato), it's still fairly useful, but not necessarily dominant.

No Mokuton in itself is still amazing. It basically creates life.. just plant life instead. Large crushing trees, flowers that give sleeping pollen, chakra or bijuu suppressing powers, changing body parts into complex structures, and now a Mokuton dragon? Definitely a lot of potential going on there. I wouldn't be surprised if Hashirama's healing is based off his Mokuton.

Mokuton might also have things like poisonous thorns, man-eating plants, and lots more but I'd just be speculating from there on.

Pretty much this. Yamato's techs could also be used on a stronger scale by those like Hashirama who could naturally use it. The fact it has chakra supressing ability would make it harder for other jutsus to maintain their strength.
