That they're just taunting her and to say to the truth it's actually they are siblings kinda like since mikasa was brought up to eren's parents when her parents died sometime they act as lovers sometimes as siblings we don't quite know the answer...

She is an adopted sister. In the anime they make the two seem more like a couple than brother or sister. But in the manga i think its clear that she is more of a sister.
I mean they grew up together in the same house could you imagine having a relationship with a girl that lived with you and grew up with you in the same house. The anime doesnt really potray their relationship well. Especially with the changes they made which really made me mad.

Im not about to go through the manga but i can give some suggestive proof. First off they lived together when they were younger for number of years. She protected him in fights when they were kids and often worrys about him and gets him out of trouble. To me that sounds more like a big sister than a girlfriend.
In the anime certain scenes they changed the dialogue.

Like when they discovered annie was the female titan. Mikasa asked eren did he love her with a strange face which in my eyes made her come off as more of a jealous lover. But in the manga that conversation never happened.
