Mihawk is stronger than anyone whom trains and uses a sword at the very epicenter of their fighting style. There's a difference between swinging a sword around with no traning and swordsmanship. You know that. The only swordsmen in my opinion are:
Shanks
Roronoa Zoro
Kuina
Koshiro
Cabaji
Johnny
Yosaku
Hatchan
Bogart
Tashigi
Dorry
Yurikah
Sarkies
Ohm
Montblanc Norland
T-Bone
Kakku
Momonga
Onigumo
Strawberry
Doberman
Brook
Ryuuma
Killer
X Drake
Trafalgar Law
Silvers Rayleigh
Shiliew
Stainless
Doma
Vista
McGuy
Squard
Atmos
Fossa
Haruta
Ramba
Delacuaji
Brownbeard
Albion
Lip Doughty
Hyouzou
Kin'emon
Kanjuurou
Jeet
Cavendish
Rebecca
Riku Dold III
Isshou

All of which Mihawk is superior to. Any other character shown wielding a Sword in my opinion are just people swinging swords. Not Swordsmen.

swordsmanship isn't shanks' greatest hype :)

But Haoshoku Haki is ineffective in a 1v1 vs any opponent you can't One shot. Swordsmanship is the focal point of his fighting style.

there is absolutely nothing to support that, he has used his sword to an extent WB used his weapon

we have no idea what HH does, so far it just knocked out fodders yes but do you seriously think that all the hype Oda put into it will just amount to that? at the Moby **** the ship actually started breaking down and the sky split, we just touched the tip of the mountain as far as Haki is concerned

WSM =/= Strongest person with a sword. If WB decided to fight Mihawk with a sword, he'd lose? Many people see Shanks as > Mihawk. As far as we know, Shanks is a swordsman. Every single feat for him is with a sword. Mihawk vs anyone in swordsmanship definitely ends in Mihawk's win, but other characters that merely use their swords in conjunction with their DFs shouldn't be counted, like Issho (unless he shows to depend on his sword more). Just like how Law isn't one of the people that Zoro will need to beat on his path to WGS. With this said, I believe that Mihawk is stronger than Issho, but not because he is WGS.

I believe that shanks is the strongest man alive (followed by maybe Kaidou or Dragon). Mihawk is the strongest swordsman but not everyone in one piece specializes is swordplay, and even some who do use swords, it isn't there specially (EX. Shanks, Kizaru with light sword). SO i'd probably Put Mihawk at Akainu's level or slightly above.

The only time he has ever fought top tiers; he used a Sword. This means that he is dependent on his sword or it is his weapon of choice while fighting tough opponents. This implies that Swordsmanship is therefore his dominant fighting style or only fighting style. In desperate situations (such as saving Coby's life and stopping the war) he used a sword, if he used anything less than his full strength he wouldn't be able to have achieved such feats. This therefore means that Shanks is strongest while using a sword, this makes the idea of Shanks being a swordsman far more apparent.

HH is simply someones amplification of their will. So far it has just knocked out fodders and been added to attacks simply because they seem to be it's only use. Do you really think a breaking ship is going to phase Mihawk? It certainly didn't even cause a dying drunk old man in his 70's to falter in the slightest.

When judging if a charecter is a swordman or not in op I use swordsmanship "skill"(this is not sword handling but just wait). I think if u are a swordsman in o.e piece and u r to.b a serious fighter u are gonna need to have the one swordmanship skill that will grant u this power and I think that is Hakairyoku(power of destruction) and if u are a swordsman and i dony got this then u will b fodder for sure. Now their are some df users I consider swordsman due to the fact that their fruits dont influence their power in other words are not the most poweful aspect of their being i.e Kinemon and Brook(I know his fruit now has combat uses but yohoho and all those techs just make him). On to Shanks, I dont consider him a swordsman coz I doubt he has Hakairyoku rather his top tier power comes from his haki and to me his sword is a focal point to his Haki as Fuji's sword to his gravity powers or Law's nodachi to his ope ope no mi powers.

He is indeed Yonko level. I don't think he's stronger than Shanks at the moment Lol

I think people that say he is top 3 material overrate him a little, but most people know where he is at pretty well. I would say he is somewhat around the Admirals.

^^ He has a shot at being a top 3 material just like any other strong character.

You've done it now! But still you have to agree that Mihawk > Fujitora (a swordsman) and therefore is stronger than the Admirals.

Fuji is a SM as well as DF user so ur logic won't work here.

But I agree Mihawk > Fuji but not coz Fuji is a SM.

OT: He deserves his hype as well as title,IMO he is currently below Shanks & Dragon above everyone else(Not sure about Kaido & BM though).
