[Question] Is Mihawk a little bit OVERrated?

I see Mihawk as a step above Marco. He's definitely a top-tier. We'll just have to wait and see how he stacks up against the Admirals/Yonkou. You can't really use him being equal to Shanks over a decade ago to gauge him.

Well you can say he's overrated in discussions regarding, "Shanks vs. Mihawk" but as a whole I would say he is underrated.

I still believe Shanks is stronger but not that much. Mihawk is definitely Yokou level and I dont think he's underrated.

If Mihawk is under Admirals that means no swordsman has a winking chance vs them and the yonko and Yonko first mates(using Marco and BenBeckman's hype as gauges and if non of the other arent Swordsman) so u see with that u wld have a whole class of fighters being heavily underated.
Mihawk is what in OP defines the whole Swordsman class of fighter and Oda showing him to have been rivals with Shanks was to show how powerful he is and the stuff he does at MF goes to show how powerful he is and I think as a pirate he is right up there with the Yonko and the pple who could defeat him are Admiral lvl(wld probably b their worsts fights ever but thats just me) and d
Yonko.
Here is a thought u saw how Zoro held his own vs an Op Admiral imagine a Zoro ten tyms stronger.

He is the rival of Shanks, and Shanks is a Yonkou. Shanks lost an arm, and Mihawk is the one who's called the strongest swordsman, not Shanks. So yeah, I definitely think he's Yonkou level.

One of the top three strongest living characters for sure!

You've done it now! But still you have to agree that Mihawk > Fujitora (a swordsman) and therefore is stronger than the Admirals.

Mihawk is stronger than anyone whom trains and uses a sword at the very epicenter of their fighting style. There's a difference between swinging a sword around with no traning and swordsmanship. You know that. The only swordsmen in my opinion are:
