I started rewatching the war arc and reading the war arc manga because with all these fillers, I can't remember anything about it. So look at Madara, I can't tell if he is good or evil.

Madara did wipe out most of the Allied Shinobi Force when he was first revived. There was no need to do that. Also hurling meteors down from the sky was uncalled for too.
So that's the evil bit and the fact that he f'ed up Obito on purpose. VERY EVIL.

But his plan was to get to peace by creating false peace. Is this evil? No it's not. But he is doing it by force and IT is just you living in a dream world with people who are just illusions. You would think that you wouldn't be happy but we were shown some of the illusions of characters in IT and it's like their memory is wiped so they don't even know that all these people are illusions. And, they will never find out while in IT.

Essentially just for fun, let's say IT was real and happened. We wouldn't know if we are real and everything else is an illusion. We just naturally think, everything is real.

So what do you guys think? Good or evil?

Depends on your definition of evil, Madara's "goal" was peace-a generally "heroic" thing, however his means(IT) to get peace was not so "heroic". IT sort of embodies Indra's mindset of "peace by might", which I believe is flawed.

Absolutely not. Pure evil simply does not exist in the context of NV. He is by far the most longing character for peace. He understood the cycle of war better than anyone and though his solutions were not peaceful, true peace was the end product. He indirectly united the shinobi world.

Wake up to reality! Nothing ever goes as planned in this world. The longer you live, the more you realize that in this reality only pain, suffering and futility exist.

Man seeks peace, yet at the same time yearning for war... Those are the two realms belonging solely to man. Thinking of peace whilst spilling blood is something that only humans could do. They're two sides of the same coin... to protect something... another must be sacrificed.

Talking about peace whilst spilling blood, it's something that only humans can do.

Is wanting a world where everybody is happy and has everything they could ever want and where there is no illness wrong? No, it isn't, but killing 6 million people because they are Jews made Hitler a very evil figure in history regardless of his rather benevolent goal. So you see, it's like yin yang, there can not be evil without good and no good without evil but evil is still evil and good is still good, you can't kill your mother and say you did it because you wanted her to go to heaven because that is evil and stupid.
So yes Madara is evil and also has some serious mental problems.
